How long does it take you to introduce yourself to client, costumer or prospective business partner? Just say, “Hello” you smile, tell them your name and extend your hand. If the person your meeting for the first time is a woman she’ll have already decided whether or not she’s going to be comfortable doing business with you.
First impressions are a primary indicator in a woman’s purchasing decision. Make a positive first impression and you’re off to a great start. A negative one will require you to prove yourself and you may not even know it. Selling to woman is more complex in just being friendly and presenting your pitch, women respond to a different approach, they do their homework with this process, which includes end up a research to obtain the information. They perform additional follow up and before making the final decision they need to know that service is there. Because women come to your prepared and identify their needs during the sales process, your goal is to listen to what they have to say.
When you listen to her, she will become more interested in listening to you. Understanding their purchasing process can make a quick impact on your sales and service success goals. Did you know that women noticed all the little detail in a business setting, let's talked about each area and why are they so important for this critical step of getting to know you. Be mindful of your appearance it’s a first impression and one of which you'll be judged. When doing business with women, being well groomed is a form none verbal communication, it shows that you care about what you do, you care about yourself, that you value your products, that you care about the people you work with and that you're showing it.
There are also other none verbal and verbal details that women will most likely absorb. Your hand shakes for example, your eye contact and your smile they built their perception of who you are. The smallest details, like remembering her name and using it in a conversations shows her that you want to build a relationship with her.
Now about your office, is it welcoming? Is it a place she could feel comfortable. Women are highly aware of lighting cleanliness and personal touches.
What does your overall environment say to women? Beyond your office think about the environment and where your office is located. Remember bye begins sometimes before hello. Is the neighborhood safe, are the grounds well kept is there is a noticeable trash on the ground. A woman will notice these details before she gets to you or your office.
Your reception area, is it welcoming? Is it neat? Will she find magazines that relate to her? Are they recent? Is the space needed orderly? If she arrives with children, do you have a family and friendly environment for them?
Your receptionist can also impact your business, will a woman be treated with the same respect that a man would when she walks through the door? A woman pick up on subtle hence if she is not acquitted frugally and promptly and spoken to in a respectful manner.
The restrooms in your business are another item and important when analyzing your environment. Women talk about bathrooms, they just do. When a bathroom is great, women will tell other women to check it out. They also notice that the does not meet general standards for health and safety. They are considered clean well stocks are very much appreciated. Bathroom is with additional amenities such as hand lotion, hair spray, toiletries they receive extra bonus points.
