For accurate color with any digital camera, a proper white balance must be done. To obtain a proper white balance with the Fuji S3, start by turning on the camera put the camera in one of the automatic modes. When using studio strobes, put the camera in manual.
Next put the auto focus in manual. Place the ExpoDisc on the camera lens. Now press the menu button, press the down button to the custom white balance (Custom WB), and press the right button. In the function screen, select custom 1 or custom 2 and remember which one has been selected. This feature allows the user to select between two preset custom white balances.
Take a picture directly at the light source, if the screen says, over or under, adjust the exposure accordingly. After completing the correct exposure make sure to press the function button and then set the custom 1 or the custom 2 white balance.
For fast, accurate and consistent white balance, talents recommends the ExpoDisc. The ExpoDisc comes in most standard lens filter sizes and is available at our web store www.talent.com or by calling 1800-433-8685.
