How to an X-Files Tennis Drill

Game-Based Drills The X Files Like the famous television series, we call this next game, The X Files, because of the cross-court patterns of play. The first option is to have players hit forehands cross-court, and when the ball lands short they can immediately use the entire court. To develop confidence on the other side of the court, play the same game with only cross-court backhands allowed. This exercise encourages practice of cross-court patterns and also gets the player who receives the first short ball to attack, and think about changing the direction of the cross-court pattern or possibly wrongfooting the opponents.
