This tutorial will show you how to backup your site in cpanel.
You can backup your entire site (not including any MySQL databases).
In this example, we will generate a backup on a remote FTP server.
You can specify a particular folder to which you wish to send the backup. Otherwise, it will go to the root directory.
The backup process has been initiated. Once it is complete, you will receive conformation by email.
Rather than backing up to a remote server, you can also backup to the Home Directory of your server.
If you wish, you can download just the Home Directory directly to your local computer.
You can also select to just backup a MySQL database to your local hard drive (you can also do this from within phpmyadmin).
And finally, you can also just backup an alias (eg., subdomain) or a filter to your local computer.
Now let's see how to restore files from a backup.
Locate the backup file on your hard drive.
You are now able to backup in cpanel.
