This tutorial will show you how to backup and restore your files in Plesk. If you have configured this task to display a link in your desk top, you can click it directly from here. Otherwise, click Home to go to the main dashboard. There are currently no backups in this account. Let's go ahead and create a backup now. Enter a file name as well as brief comment, or leave the default settings. The page will automatically refresh every 10 seconds until the backup process is completed. As you can see, you have successfully backed up your site. You can optionally download the backup file to your local hard drive. You can also click to delete a backup file. For convenience, you can set up scheduled backups. Let's see how that's done. Select the desired frequency for the scheduled backup. You can optionally enter the maximum number of backup files you wish to store. Perpend your backup files with whatever you like. You can specify an email address that will automatically receive notifications if any errors occur during the scheduled backups. Important: now that the scheduled backup is created, don't forget to enable it. Now let's see how to restore files. If you wish to restore from a file stored on your local hard drive, click here to proceed. Simply locate the file on your computer and upload/restore by clicking OK. If you wish to restore a file that is located on your server, click the backup file to start the process. You can optionally map the file's IP address to another IP if you wish, but another IP must be available to do so. When you're ready to restore the file click Next. You are now able to backup and restore files in Plesk.
