Cristina: Hi, I am here with Hasan. He is a modelogic male model. So Hasan how long have you been modeling?
Hasan: Approximately one year now.
Cristina: One year. And how has been going?
Hasan: It has been going pretty good. They have been keeping really busy.
Cristina: So what steps did you take?
Hasan: Well actually, a few years ago Stacy had open call on Wednesday. I was in school as a VCU and I decided to come down. She likes me, and we stayed and we talked, but it was not a good time at that time. So a couple years later I gave her another shot and here I am.
Cristina: So when you say it was not a good time, you got passed up.
Hasan: No, my personal life.
Cristina: Okay, just was not a good time. Okay, all right. There is an idea when you said that because sometimes it is not the right time for a model. Like, I know for me I tried it when I was a teenager and I went just too some agencies and got some interest but it no where near when I was older. So just start at one time, and may not be the right time. It maybe the right time at another time.
So, tell me about some of the jobs that you have been doing?
Hasan: Well, the first thing that I have done was the 400 anniversary of James town. It is a stereo shot video. Everybody wears a different t-shirt. I have been William’s Bird Spa, Circus City.
Cristina: Now, were you nervous when you first started?
Hasan: No, actually when I first started, I was really eager.
Cristina: Okay.
Hasan: After I went to a—I think the Circus City job were I really got nervous because I met some models.
Cristina: Intimidation factor.
Hasan: I think the one guy name Serge and it was like how are you. He took up really good, now it is like, “My name is Hasan.”
Cristina: Okay, but after a few job you kind of like that. Is there anything you did to prepare for these shots?
Hasan: In the mirror.
Cristina: In the mirror, that is great.
Hasan: And I pick out different magazines.
Cristina: Okay.
Hasan: Watch the poses.
Cristina: Good. So did factor.
Hasan: Yes.
Cristina: So is this something that you want to keep doing or?
Hasan: Yes, but I would like to continue modeling. I feel like I am getting some good experience here, but I feel like I have not quite made it and I want to give it.
Cristina: You feel like there is that next step.
Hasan: Yes, there is a next step.
Cristina: So you would like to maybe go to New York.
Hasan: Yes, that sounds nice.
Cristina: Well, I think you are doing great so far. So thanks again for sitting down with us.
Hasan: Well thank you very much.
