Welcome, to the Postwar European Cinema course at the University of Sussex. In order to make the most of your experience, we compiled a set of several guidelines. No drinking in the classroom, no eating. Please ensure you pick up all of your litter after class. A clean classroom is a happy classroom.

Please ensure your mobile phones are either turned off or set to vibrate, so as not to disturb those around you. No falling in love with those around you, who are out of your league. No shooting people, unless they are hippies. No Mel Gibson, absolutely no Mel Gibson. All course work will be graded according to stringent University standards.

Please have an enthusiastic approach to extra course reading. Be sure to utilize your tutor's office hour. He is always happy to see you. Please be aware that some of the movies we will be showing are certificate 18 and may not be suitable for more sensitive viewers. Remember a class that follows the rules is a happy class. We hope you enjoy your experience with Postwar European Cinema.
