How to choose between single and multisport

Here's is my feeling on single-sport versus multi-sport athletes at a young age. Basically, what I want to do is, see a kid who is going to go out and play a multitude of different activities. It doesn't necessarily have to be organized sports; it could be going out and playing backyard football with somebody. It could be playing on the soccer team as an organized sport, but having other things to fill their day.

You don't want to have them doing one every week, you want to throw different things at them so that their body can mature and get more acclimatized to all kinds of locomotive skills. That's the time where they're going to learn them and that's where it help them become more specific as an athlete as they get older.
