This tutorial will show you how to create a custom button in Plesk. If you have configured this task to display a link in your desktop, you can click it directly from here. You would find the link here. Otherwise, click Home to go to the main dashboard.
As you can see, there are currently no custom buttons in this account. Let's go ahead and create one now. Create a label for the new button. This is the text that will appear under the button. Decide where you wish the new button to be displayed.
You can set the priority which dictates the order in which custom buttons are displayed. For example, 100 will display before 200. You have the option to upload your own button image. Otherwise, a default image is displayed. Now enter the URL to which you wish to direct the user after clicking the button.
Using the checkboxes, specify whether to include the data, such as domain id, client id, company name, client's contact name, and the client's e-mail to be transferred with the URL. This data can be required for processing by external web applications.
Type in the help tip that will be displayed when users hover the mouse pointer over the button. Check here if you wish the destination URL to be opened in the control panel's right frame. Otherwise leave this checkbox unchecked to open the URL in a separate browser window.
Decide if you wish the button to be visible to all sub-logins. You have successfully created a custom button. The button will be displayed at the Domain Administration page of every domain. You may always return here to create another custom button... or edit an existing one...or delete one altogether.
Let's take a look at the domain level control panel to see the results.
Good job!
As you can see, you have successfully added a custom button.
