Speaker: Here is a few defenses to a straight arm double lapel grab, where the child is often grabbed by the clothing, and either shaken, pushed, or pulled.
Speaker: On the double lapel grab, Chris grabs on to Harley's shirt. Harley, when they grab you like that, you are going to take your two fingers and put it in between his arms, press it at the bottom of his neck, press, and that will release the hold.
If Chris grabs on to you, but you are not as afraid, you take your two fingers while you are looking him in the eye and poke him in the tummy, boom. That will release that hold.
Level three, grab on Chris. You are going to reach your hand all the way across, grabbing that hand pad, turning it slightly. Bring your other arms straight in the air, turn towards me, elbow down. That's what's going to break that hold. Very nice.
On the lapel grab. Go ahead and grab Chris. Harley, bring two fingers up. Take him and put him in between Chris' arms. Put it at the nape of the neck, right below the Adam's apple. Take your two fingers, pressing in, that's how to break free of that.
If you grab on Chris again, someone that's not as threatening and as menacing, look them right in the eye, take your two fingers and poke them in the stomach, boom.
Go ahead and do the double lapel grab, level three. Harely, reach your arm all the way over, grab Chris' crossarm. Turning the hand pad over, bring your arm straight in the air. Turn your body towards me, pull down. That's what releases the hold.
