How to do Center Draw Pushing

Now I am going to talk about the pushing techniques so again you guys both setup to push the ball. Okay, so the technique, we just showed you was the pulling technique where you are trying to pull and open your hips and shoulders. You are trying to pull that ball behind you. Now, Kerby and Kim are setup, toeing the line. Kerby has her right foot forward, Kim has her right foot forward, but you will notice that they are going to try to push the ball to be able to get the ball in their stick and to a teammate. So, let's see how this looks when we set the ball out.

In the pushing technique, the same things apply where you need to be toeing the line, sticks need to be parallel with the center line and what Kerby is going to try to do is actually tilt and seal the ball in her stick. When she is going to push, she is going to think about pulling the stick back towards her body to be able to get under that ball. That's how she is going to tilt her stick, so pull that bottom hand a little bit where she is trying to get that ball into her stick, and now once she seals it, she is going to try to push it again, what we like to call down the line. So let's see if we can watch the tilt and seal technique when we are pushing at the center draw.
