Asalaam everyone! This is Danica. I’m going to show you how to do that perfect Gwen Stefani red look. So, I have my entire face done and I have a lighter eye, I’ve actually don’t even really have much eye shadow on. I have mainly a black liner and some mascara.
So, I’ll put concealer over my lip area to get rid of any redness and discolorations so then I’m ready for my red lip and it will look a lot more perfect. Okay and then I’ll apply the MAC Prep N Prime Lip which helps to keep your lipstick on all day and prevent from bleeding.
And I’ll slightly smudge it on to the skin area too, again to prevent from bleeding and feathering. Okay, now I’ll get my MAC Brick Red Lip Liner and start by lining that, keep it well. You’re going to make sure that your pencil is very sharp and that you’re taking your time so you can get that perfect line.
Now, let’s start on the bottom and typically don’t start on the edges of the lips because it makes your lips look a lot longer and more thin so if you plump up mainly towards the middle of the lip area, it definitely pays off.
Okay so now, I have my lip line and I’m going to go in by feathering the lip pencil slightly.
Okay, now I’m ready for my MAC Viva Glam 1 lipstick and I’m going to apply it with a little applicator here.
Okay, now let’s put a little gloss towards the middle. I really do just quite a little bit. If you out gloss on with red lipstick, it’s an instant bleeding effect so just do a little towards the middle of the lip there just for extra shine and there you are. It’s more of a neutral red; it’s not too blue, it’s not too orange which if you pay attention to Gwen Stefani definitely does.
And I think it looks good on everybody in almost every skin tone as well. So, if you’re making your lips your main focus, you want to do a little more blush like I did and do a lighter eye.
So, that’s your Gwen Stefani red look there.
