How to do Moving Targets

An extension and more challenging variation of the last exercise is to have the hoop target moving. In this drill, the hoop holder trolls the hoop into the air and the tossers try to time their throws to go through the hoop and also be caught by their partners. Since this drill is slightly more difficult, have the players rotate positions after a total of five balls go through the airborne hoop and are caught. To create a simple competition, have several groups of three play at the same time and see which team can reach a certain number of catches first. The only rule is that the hoop must be in the air when the ball passes through it. And again, stand the children a minimum distance from the hoop depending on their age and skill level.
