Throw Away from Leader’s Right

Male: Our first move that we are going to be teaching is called Rock the Cradle, then the Throw Away from the gentleman’s right hand. Now o the rock the cradle, we start it by going into the cuddle which is explained on our first video, open position. Gentleman pretend that you are doing the reverse turn but hold on when the lady should be slightly in front into your right side. Now, the difference on this is the usual cuddle when you take and send her out, we do with a twist and a tuck on the rock step but on this we are going to signal or that she is going to stay with us. So we can bring her straight back for the rock step then we bring her straight forward. Now I have got a connection at my shoulder and my forearm and on her elbows because she is not going anywhere except number one or two. So we do a rock step, step, and we both pivot over our right shoulder, pivot and then our regular rock step, rock step. And we unwind over the next one, two steps. So our goal is rock, step, step, pivot, rock step, unwind, rock step.
Get in the cuddle position and I would like you to both turn over to your right shoulder. Pivot that way and let us pivot the other way. That is simply how this move works. Let us try this with a nice medium tempo song.
One basic, five, six, five, six seven.
Female: Here we go and step, step, get ready bring her in, rock step, step, pivot, rock, step, step, pivot, rock step, step, pivot. Unwind, rock step, step, pivot, rock step, step.
Male: Let us try it again.
Female: One more time at this tempo.
Male: Five, six, a five, six, seven, eight—
Female: Here we go, step, step, get ready, bring her in, step back, rock step, step, pivot, rock step, step, pivot, rock step, step, pivot, rock step, step, pivot rock step, step. Now for us intermediate dancers we are going to pump up the music a little bit and try it at a faster tempo.
Male: If you do not have it yet, go back to the looping and try it with that. A five, six, seven, here we go.
Female: Here we go, rock step, step, bring her back, step—
Male: Pivot, rock, step, step, pivot. Let us try it again from this angle.
