How to do a Lateral Hurdle Jumps Drill

Lateral hurdle jumps or multiple jumps are also excellent to develop the critical strengths skills needed to start quickly, accelerate and change direction. In this exercise, the player jumps laterally over five hurdles lined up in a row 2-3 feet apart. The player begins at one end balancing on his or her outside foot. The object is to jump over each hurdle and land with both feet until reaching the last hurdle where the athlete must land on their outside foot and then immediately change direction to repeat the exercise. In option to hurdles are cones. However, if cones are used make sure the player goes over the cone and not around it.
