How to do a No-Bounce Doubles Tennis Drill

No-Bounce Doubles Let's finish this volume with a game-based drill called "No-Bounce Doubles." This exercise is another dynamic competitive doubles drill to get teams to close in as quickly as possible to the net and attack. It also encourages servers to increase the spin on their serves and the receivers to move in quickly to take the returns as early as possible. The rules are that the serve is the only shot that is allowed to bounce. As you can see, this rule adjustment forces an increased attacking style, which at all levels will lead to more and more success. It will also encourage the server's partner to increase his or her movement at the net. No lobs are allowed, but for the top most competitive levels, allow lobs, but just not on the returns of serve.
