Male: We are going to start off training right now is straight ahead speed or linear speed, straight ahead and backwards. What Bobby is going to do now is a seated arm action drill where he is going to pretend he is holding a potato chip in his fingers so that his hands are loose, his body is loose. His arms are at the 90 degree angle, so that when he comes through, he does not hit his elbow on the floor or his hand on the floor and he is going to drive thumb to ear and then to hip.
As he is going through, we are going to start of at a slow rate and as we go through, we will pick it up, pick it up, pick it up until he is at his full speed.
[Demonstration]
We will hold that for a couple of seconds and then ramp it down. You will notice that as Bobby picks up to full speed, his body starts moving. Arm action contributes a lot to the speed when you are running.
[Demonstration]
And ramp it down, good. And, that is seated arm action.
