A little more detail now on the shotgun snap and basically what the quarterback will do when once he catches the ball. Hopefully, when he catches the ball from the center, he is going to be a good enough athlete to find the laces when we task him to take those two step drops.

So the ball should come back. Our quarterback is left handed, so the center should anticipate or try to throw it to his left chest. That way, he is catching it finding his laces and he can catch the ball and get right into his running motion where the quarterback wants to set the ball. That is chest high with both hands on the ball and he can just gently rock it in front of him so let us see if we can get a snap to his left chest with a good catch, adjusting to find the laces, chest the ball for a two step drop and then have an imaginary throw to the right.
