Let us talk about offensive lineman stance. Here we have our left tackler who is going to get into a great stance for us. We are going to start by getting our shoulders, our feet shoulder width apart, we are going to have our outside foot which is going to be his left foot back and splitting the arch of his right foot and then we are going to put his hand down on the ground in an athletic position. We are going to work on trying to get a flat back with his head up and his butt higher than his shoulders.
This is a great athletic position for someone that is 6’4”, he has great flexibility in his ankles, knees and hips. He is not going to have a whole lot of weight on his hand. If you kick it down, he should not fall. It should be balanced on both feet. This is an excellent offensive line stance, not a whole lot of weight on his hand. His weight is distributed on both feet, front back and head up.
Stand up Lane, let us try that one more time for the goal. Pretend you imaginary break the whole and get into the stance, right from there, set, go. Let me get into the imaginary stance here. That is an awesome offensive lineman stance right there.
