How to do the Back to Back Drill in Lacrosse

This drill is great for ground ball, it's called butt to butt. The two players here are going to stand back to back with a lacrosse ball in between their feet. On the first whistle the coach blows, they're going to push against each other. On the second whistle, they'll then try and go for the ball. The entire time you are going to keep your stick off of the ground until you hear the second whistle and actually go for the ball.

In here, you can see we put the players inside of a crease, so they want to try and stay inside that crease, that would create better competition. Here's the drill. That's our butt to butt ground ball drill.
