Hi everyone! Today, you are going to learn how to do the classic color change.
It allows you to show one card just like so. Take your hand which is completely empty, cover it up just like so and magically transform it into another card just like magic. Now, I am going to teach you how to do the classic color change.
All you need is a regular deck of cards. I recommend when you do this that you have a black color on top and a red color behind it or vice versa, because you are going to be changing the two cards.
Now, to do this a fact, I recommend you push the card on top forward just about a 16th of an inch. I take my index finger and place it right there. Once you are in this position, take your other hand and you are going to use your palm to push the four of spades forward just like so. Now, what you would do at this point is you use your palm to bring the nine of diamonds back without anybody seeing, so you bring this back and you want to bring it back just enough so it actually comes in front of the four of spades. At this point, you push that card over the four of spades, wave your hand just like that and it looks like one card melted into the other one.
Once again, I start with the card a little forward just like so it seems to help me, show your hand empty, take your palm, push the card forward about that far. Then, while you are still on this position, I am pulling my hand down to show you what is going on. When you perform this, you keep your hand right here. You are going to bring the four of spades back at this point and I come back all the way, so you had actually come unclose from behind the card and it pops in front. At this point, you bring it over the other card, use your hand to hide the other one and when you uncover it, it looks like you just created an illusion and you melted one card into a different card. So let me show you the performance again.
Like I said, I pushed that card forward just a little bit like that. I show my audience the four of spades and up on this hand and you just take and bring this card back, bring it over and it melt just like that.
