How to do the Double Ready Hop

This exercise is as much a corrective technique as an exercise which can be used with almost every on court situation. We all know that a common problem all players face is not moving quickly enough. The result of slow or late movement is poor position and execution.

We also know that all movements require a balanced and retroactive starting action known as the split step. To overcome a tendency to be late or lazy with this split step, the player here is actually squeezing in two split steps before their partner feeds the ball.

Not only does this exercise provide a good workout, but when the players shifts back to a single split step, they feel like they have all the time in the world.
