How to do the Exaggerated Shuffle

Now let's move to an important recovery movement, the shuffle. An effective shuffle feature is the lead foot pointing toward the direction of the movement, while the push off or trailing leg is perpendicular to the movement. Other important aspects are the player should avoid kicking his or her feet together and they should keep their bodies from bobbing up and down. While maintaining good form, fast stride frequency is the key, and once the basics or mastered, move the advanced player to the exaggerated shuffle. The exaggerated high knee lift and arm action gets the whole body working together to achieve maximum shuffle distance and court coverage. Of course, like all other exercises, repeat this one in both directions.
