High Pop

This next exercise is cooperative, with one child throwing a ball straight up, and as high as possible. A second child has a hoop, and has to place the hoop on the ground, so the ball lands in it. The child, who places the hoop, then tries to catch the ball after it bounces. To create a cooperative game with point scoring, if the initial throw lands outside the hoop, the players would lose a point. Award one point for each catch after the ball has bounced inside the hoop. For groups of children to play simultaneously, divide the children into pairs, and have all the children either alternate, or in a big enough area play at the same time, until one team reaches 15 points.
