Submission101, we are going to show you how to get the Arm Crush from Spider Web Position. Now sometimes the arm crush can be very difficult, depending on your flexibility. As you guys know, when you are working the 10th Planet system, there is some flexibility involved. So a lot of times you won't be able to do moves, because of stiffness in your joints, in your hips or your legs. But that doesn't mean you can't get -- there are some tweak involved.
The first thing I am just going to talk about, what Dan is going to show the actual little, this little tip . Now remember that, Jiu-Jitsu is about, this little tricks and tips that make us better. So when I am here and I am going forward the arm crush, this is a typical way of holding a gable gripping like this. But there is a lot more opportunity, just holding in to get arm crushes and triangles from this position. What we do in our gym, we call the Genie, this is what Dan started calling, so we all start to calling it.
The Genie as you notice is a different type of way of holding. This is probably even the most superior way of holding the arm, when you are in spider web position because, he has got his elbow lock, he is in tight, it's tough to come across, the triangles way, harder to get. So just so you know, this particular defense is probably, the best from this position. Now it doesn't mean that you can't get the arm crush or break this lock which Dan is about to show you.
So we'll change up here. So even if he nicely has the genie arm, that's okay. I have got my deep poke in. I have got my leg before here. I won't to be able to get my leg across his forearm. So what I do is just a small tweak, I am going to use the blade outside of my foot. I have got a spider web I lean back lifting my knee up. As long as I get my heel in and my leg, I push. Now I am pushing towards it's much easier for me to hook up and get the arm crush. I am just leaning back, lifting my knee up, pushing my heel in, blade against his forearm and I am just pushing with my leg, pushes his arm right off and it's much easier for me to hook up. So much time to lea back; kick, push, hook, squeeze. Really just to tweak to the arm crush when hands hold getting you right over.
