Hi! Stampers. Today, we’re going to make this post-it note holder and it’s actually in acrylic frame that just sits up normally like this but we’re going to turn it into a post-it note holder so you can give it as a gift. And I think it’s great for like putting next to your phone so you get those messages and you just write them on the post-it note. And then I’m just going to touch the RSVP pen, the matching pen for the acrylic post-it note holder. Okay so let’s get started.
This one you will notice it goes vertical up and down but you can get all kinds of different sizes of the acrylic frames. Now this one sits horizontal so we’re going to use this one today. And what you're going to do is you're going to cut your paper at the sides of your acrylic frame. Now this one is measured at 3½x5 so I went ahead and cut out a piece of designer paper. This paper is from the Good Morning Sunshine and let’s cut it 3½x5.
And then I’m going to go ahead and stamp this image of the bird which is from the Cheap Talk Stamp set and there’s a really cute little stamp in there. It says “hello there” So we’re going to stamp this on whisper white. And then I want to use chocolate chip for the little greediness. It says “hello there” And the stamp is curve so we’ll go right under on the birds head. So I’m just going to stamp that right around the bird so it fits in punch and then I went ahead and stamp the post-it notes to it with the same greeting, “hello there” I just stamp a couple of them.
Okay so I’m going to take my one and one quarter circle punch and I’m going to punch my bird out, and then I went ahead and punched out the specific point with the 1 3/8 circle punch. And then chocolate chip with the scallop circle punch and we’re just going to layer these pieces together.
And then on my designer paper, I’m going to go ahead and adhere this to the bottom left corner like that and then I’m just going to slide this into my acrylic frame here. Just get to pry the back open it’s kind of tight so. Slide that in, okay here we go. Okay and then for the post-it notes, you’re just going to use some sticky strip, the adhesive on the back of the posted notes isn’t strong enough to stand the acrylic frame so we’re just going to add some more adhesive with the sticky strip.
And I find one strip is good enough, press that down. And then I’m just going to adhere this to the opposite side of my bird. And adhere that down, press it down really good. And then for the pin, I have a video on this but I’m just going to show you what I did here, I’m just going to take this one apart and let me show you.
Okay the designer paper is cut at one inch by 3¾ like that and then you're just going to take the inside of your pen, and these are RSVP pens. Those work the best with you know, decorating your pens if you want to decorate the barrel of your pen. So you just going to roll that designer paper and get it started and you probably have to do it gently and you know, just breaks down those fibers so it rolls the paper good.
But you really want to roll that kind of tight because it’s going to be put inside the barrel of the pen and you’ll notice on your RSVP pen, there is like beveled edges. And I kind of line up the seam with one of those bevels so the seam isn’t very noticeable. And then push the papers far as it go and then I just take the pen and push that down the rest of the way. And then slide your pen back in there and there you go. What a cute little gift for your teacher or friend. Okay, and then for my sample, what’s nice is when you use the designer paper, it’s two sided so you get two different designs. Now this one I went ahead and finished on the other side too. And they can flip it over. This ones got the bird but it’s in chocolate then I used the sauce siphon card stock for the scallop circle and then you can just slide that other side and you know, to give a different look of the–really didn’t like the blue side.
Like that, so they get you know two designs in one piece of paper. So it’s really cute. And then if she wants it to just change out the pen you know, you just take it out and just roll it the opposite way. All right that’s it. Thanks for stopping by and let’s see you later, bye.
