Thanks for stopping by. I’m Chef Billy Parisi and you’re watching fixmyrecipe.com. Our new fix goes to Kim. She submitted a recipe to us for apple cakes. She said it’s keep coming up a little too greasy. Don’t worry. I’ve got an awesome solution that you’re absolutely going to love.
When you need to get as much flavor from this as we possibly can, so the first thing we need to do is peel and slice up these apples, and we’re going to hole them in a lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and sugar mixture. While those apples are marinating, we’re simply going to add all of our wet ingredients in. This is where your apple cake is kind of going to be less greasy. Pay close attention.
Next, instead of using all that oil, we’re going to keep some of it. It’s going to keep our cake nice and moist. But we’re going to replace half of it with yoghurt.
Once, that all is combined, we’re going to set it to the side next in a medium bowl. We’re going to combine our dry ingredients, our baking powder, salt and flour. Once this is mixed together with the whisk, just to combine it, we are going to add it to our wet mixture. Be sure not to over mix.
Alright Kim, now that everything is together, we need to layer it up in this bundt pan, but first be sure to grease and flour.
Alright, you saw how that came together. It’s pretty easy. Next, we’re going in the oven 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes. Kim, perfect golden brown. Now we really just need to flip this out and let it cool. So let’s put this plain on top here, flip it over, oh yeah, perfect.
