All right now take up a glass batch of the cube steak and we’re going to show you how we make the gravy. Somebody wants to know how to make nice white gravy to cube steak so that’s what we’re going to do to make some nice white gravy.
First thing we have to do we’ll make a nice white gravy but we have to get rid of all the grease, we got to get rid all those hot grease and we want only heard herself and we want to be careful. I’m just going to pour it to another pot here at the way. I’ll just pour off enough grease and I leave a little bit down the bottom you see that, down the bottom there, there‘s a little bit of grease you have some to cover my crumbs and I have too much. I put that right down there and then we’ll just take flour and put flour on top with it. We see a flour, I’m not sure I heat now about medium, now flour is going to soak up that excess grease you see that they soak it up on grease, we want to put just enough flour you will end up with a paste.
We’re going to make some roux out of this and the deal on the white gravy is the shorter amount of time you cook just roux the whiter your gravy is going to be. If you want brown gravy cook just for a long time, the longer you cook it, the brown is going to get. I go ahead and take it make the white gravy pour some water and it right away now just keep throwing out water in this and you see all a lot of bubble up and paste up and become real stick. I remember I got my hit and on the medium I turn it down the medium and I will keep adding water till I get it see to see that I want with my gravy, a little bit foamy looking, a little sudsy, just keep stirring in and working at and letting it cooked.
Now once I get a nice those kinds I like it paste like that. I’ll let it bubble and boil it a little bit a big stir in it and then I will take some milk, I’m using to 2% milk and put some milk right in there and then that’s going to give me my nice little creamy and rich gravy, it’s going to make me little bit wider and I want to have nice good a little bit more water, a little bit more gravy look through it a little less long and I’ll get my whisk out and just whisk it till it’s all and nice good gravy consistency. My gravy might be able to bit tan it’s not really white but it’s still a white gravy and trust me it tastes wonderful.
Now somewhere in this process take your pepper, throw some pepper in there just do it to taste how much your pepper you think would be tasting, how much your salt do you think you should put in there whatever it taste like and you keep in little medium heat causing back to a boil just keep stirring it. stirring it, stirring it and then depending on taste I’m going to add a more milk or more water to make the wall thinner I think I’m going to add a little water and I guess a little bit thinner and you see I just keep stirring it and just keep stirring it when it boils a little bit, let it simmer and I come back on the side here, it’s great for all that stuff, let’s get all that in the gravy and that’s where the flavor is coming from. The flavor comes from all those ground beets to fill of the cubes they want while you’re cooking it that’s what made our gravy look at that.
Well thick let’s tend up a little bit of milk, and it’s a little bit thinner we’ll keep stirring it until we don’t get ourselves and that’s take a big normal taste it and put my finger in there and that’s pretty good. A little bit of salt, a little bit of pepper and you use a little bit of salt take that and stir if one more time and you want to taste like it is and corn of taste you’ll add salt, pepper and a quarter and milk which when you think it needs more up, you want it more creamy add more milk. You want it thinner not a stick add some water and I think that’s about it right it there we’ll put that on top of our cube stick and also add some rice and that will be a thing of wonder. Look at that cream and all we did was the flour, water and milk and a little bit of grease have it with just some trying and this will taste like the cube steak that we made creamy, juicy, gravy and our black frying pan.
All right and some that doesn’t look good bake beans, color green, cube steak, gravy and cornbread.
