How to make Mac Attack
Hi, my name is Thomas and today, I’m going to be making a dish called Mac attack! It’s a great mac and cheese dish that can be made for any occasion. I know you’re going to love it, so just follow along and you’ll be able to make it like a pro. You need a large pot so we could put all the water in it and then we’re going to turn the oven on. Put it on high! Open a lid, add a pinch of salt. Alright, that’s good! Now, we’re going to take this and turn it on about medium and add two tablespoons of butter, add that to a sauce pot and now, we’re going to want to wait until it’s to melt. Now, you want to make sure not to have your butter brown because that means that it’s burnt and you do not want it to get burnt because then, it will taste really bad and your dish will be messed up. Alright, I’m thinking it’s good now. Let’s put this down and we’re going to take our two tablespoons of flour and we’re going to add this to this. Alright, we’re going to whisk it all together and make sure to get all the ones out and you don’t want it to turn really brown, you want it to be just like this. Now, we’re going to add one and two-third cup of milk and pour that in there. Perfect! And now, let’s take the whisk and just whisk this together to let it all run down. You do not want it to be a rapid boil, you just want it to get boiling very, very low. This is what it should look like when it’s starting to thicken. You see those little bubbles in there that are just going up. That’s exactly what it is to look like. It’s going to get a lot thicker and once this happens, you’re going to want to turn the heat all the way up, put this aside, put on your oven mitts so that you don’t burn yourself, so just grab it and let’s put it on the burner next to it and take it off of the heat because we do not want it to stick any more than it already has. So now, we’re going to add the cheese, okay. This is two and a half cups of cheddar cheese . Let’s just pour that in. Okay, the rest of the cheese is in there. Now, what we are going to do is put the parmesan cheese on it, so let’s just pour this parmesan cheese in there. Alright, so we pour it in there, you don’t want to do it all at once, alright. Just pour the rest in, good! Ooh! I can smell it. It smells really cheesy. It’s good, just tap it off so we can get all the cheese back in the pot and now, let’s see if the water is boiling. It’s boiling, alright, I’ll be very careful and what you’re going to want to do is add one pound of macaroni noodles. It’s a standard box size in there, perfect! Now, you’re going to want to mix it so that noodles don’t stick to the pan. It’s going to cook for about eight minutes or whatever it says on the package. I’m going to put the lid back on and when the noodles are done, we’re going to strain them and add them to the cheese sauce that we made. Alright, I ask for an adult to help with straining this and they strained it for me and this is what it will look like and now, you’re going to add this to your cheese mixture. Alright, just pour it in there nice and easy, yum! This is going to be so good. Grab the bottom and fold it over the top so that you get everything together. Everything is mixed perfectly! Let’s put it over in our bowl, put a little more because I’m feeling hungry today. Ooh! This is going to be good. Okay, that looks good. I hope you’ve enjoyed watching Mac Attack.
