Hey, how you all do? I had somebody asked me to cook a meatloaf. As I’m sure I like meatloaf. I cook meatloaf. I like my meatloaf because it combines two of the best things that I kind and I love to cook. And one was chicken soup and one is the meatloaf and I’ll put both of these two things together.
I think my leftover chicken soup, the broth and the carrots and celery and the peppers and the onions you know, I take them out with the broth. I don’t put the chicken and the potatoes in the meatloaf unless they’ve got those vegetables and I’ll take out some broth and I’ll put it right to meatloaf mending the flavor.
You can use in any soup. You can use with Lipton soup. You can do it with camel soup or chicken soup, you can just use chicken broth and use vegetables if you want it too, but cook the vegetables first, take your broth, take some carrots and celeries and peppers whatever you like. Make sure to cook in the broth you know, and then put them into your meatloaf. The flavors just go through out the whole meatloaf, men I just can’t beat it.
All right, let me show you how to cook it. Okay, here we are in our trustee chicken soup and usually watch out for the chicken soup, working on meatloaf. I want to work in meatloaf but what I like to do is take my chicken soup and put some of it inside my meatloaf. You can’t go wrong with it. I’ve written this and I’ve written most chicken out of it.
Now, what I really want is some of these broths and I’ll go ahead and take some of that broth, about to cook maybe less than a cup of it and I’m just going to try to make sure I get celery in here and I’m going to try to get some peppers of gunky green peppers throughout this. I will get those onions on this. I’m going to try on that and get potatoes all the chicken. I make most of chicken out of it, and most of it’s flavor is gone too because I like them.
What about a cup of my chicken broth I‘m going to put there right in the meatloaf and this is going to be one—you can use whatever kind of soup that you want. You can use the Campbell soup. I want this chicken broth just put them that’s what you need and I think it’s just some little some especially with the chicken soup because the chicken soup is wonderful.
If you want to see that and make chicken soup then you need to go and watch Popeye video number one and the Popeye film is pretty much just chicken soup filling. So, if you know how to make chicken soup go watch Popeye video number one. You hear the cat in the background you might. He has to go outside but he is not feeling good so he can’t go outside.
Now, we’re going to use two pounds of ground chuck. I like to use the ground chuck because it’s a lean hamburger. There’s no much fat in it, so enough of much fat and grease is not going to end up in my pan. A little bit is still going to but not as much as if you use a fat hamburger. This is 86% lean and most hamburgers is 80% lean.
So, the ground chuck gives you a little more lean meat. Now, we’ll take the hamburger put it right there. I’m going to add two eggs to it. Use one egg for every pound of hamburger that you use. I’m going to put that chicken soup right in there and I’m going to try to mix it. Leave the chicken potatoes too much but I don’t have too. Put this one with those peppers, those carrots and that celery and there’s onions in there.
All right, all that flavor from the chicken soup just can’t mean it. Then I’m going to take a little bit of some mustard beef barbecue sauce. Now, a lot I’m just going to pour this little bit, just a little flavor from it. Open that then we’re going to add some pepper because you know we’re going to add some pepper and I’m going to put some salt, butter you know quarter teaspoons of salt, and then we’re going to put some bread crumbs in there.
The bread crumbs job is to soak off that moisture, so push put about a half of cup of bread crumbs maybe not that much just enough to soak off the moisture when you mix it up if you still have moisture just add some more bread crumbs. We’re going to heat it with some onion powder. I’m going here there was some garlic powder and one and a half warm were added. Let’s just do it here and pour some dried wheat in it.
Also, just go in there and put a tablespoon of garlic, so make sure we’ll get some garlic flavor up in there. And then of course we’re going to heat with some Italian season because you don’t know how I like the Italian season. Just go and heat it make sure some of it. And then we’re good to go.
Now, all we have to do is mix it up. Just keep your hands in there and get it all the beef stack everybody’s got to become one. And I want to leave nobody out and I want to make sure. And like I said if you have too much moisture it’s o big deal just go back and add yourself some more bread crumbs. I want this it will make good. I like meatloaf. Meatloaf is good. It’s a good idea. I made one of this a couple of weeks ago. I should have made it for YouTube then. I may want this stuff a week ago I should have made a video of it then, but I did not.
If you see a little bit moist so I must go here and throw small bread crumbs on it. Try to take a little bit moisture out and then that’s about perfect right here. You want it to be tacky but not wet, so that way you can form it into a low—look at that, that’s beautiful. Just put it into your baking dish. Put much of water, work on a baking dish you want to work with and then just shape into a shape of a loaf quarter of pounds see if you want to work which is fine. The thicker you may get the longer it take to cook it, so try to make it too thick if you don’t have too.
I like to make it solvent. It’s about the wood try to cut it and slice it and it take two slices to make the sandwich because I like a meatloaf sandwich which is good. Keep that all shape that nicely okay.
Okay, then I'm going to take some potatoes that kind of potatoes that’s my little—and I’m just going to flip them all around the edges to meat loaf here. You could put water or vegetables you want right here left in I’ll put some green beans or something put around the meatloaf and let it cook that way all of the fats those round up the hamburger will have some water around it’s more 7:08 to our potatoes here and give us some meatloaf flavor potatoes to go along with our meatloaf. It’s going to be you.
All right, now all I have to do is put this on the oven at 350. If you found the thickness like I said how long I cook it, I’ll probably cook this 45 minutes to an hour and make sure it’s done in the middle. Okay, I’ve been cooking this thing about 45 minutes or the minute or so. My temperature is heating 160 so I’m going to go ahead and take3 it out. I have added some salt and pepper to our potatoes I forgot that before I started up in there they are looking good. They are soft or nice.
Now, I’ll cook this thing a little bit longer first I will take some catsup and put meat a little catsup place on top of these things and have cook about 15 minutes. Do you here the cat? The cat is not happy. He does not like to be inside. The cat’s name is Gato. We call him El Gato for the cat and El Gato likes to be outside where he can kill things because he’s that kind of cat. He likes to kill snakes and squirrels and lizards and chipmunks and pretty much whatever he can catch because he is El Gato.
Okay, I’m going to place our catsup on top. You can use the tomato sauce if you want if you want this catsup use tomato sauce or some salsa put whatever you want on top of this thing. Then I’m going to put back it in oven about 15 minutes and we’ll be rocking off. \
Elgato wants to go outside. He is not happy. He has a wound on his neck right there that’s why he can’t go outside. He has wound with Kitty.
All right, there’s our meatloaf I put it on the oven for about 15 minutes and temperature should be at to 170 and be well done fully done and they are ready to go. I’m sure you have some on the plate. Now, that’s for your food. Our meatloaf colored green and some potatoes. Ows, our meatloaf.
All right, I hope you all like the meatloaf. It’s wonderful. It tastes wonderful. It goes pretty much with anything you want to serve. You serve mashed potatoes, real greens whatever. I like the potatoes and I like beans. It’s lot of time to cook beans with potatoes you know and meatloaf so far has the kind of the same flavor going on because you don’t have to do that. You can separate like a beer potatoes really nice and soft. It tastes good. It tastes like a meatloaf not beans. It’s really good.
