Dave Killer: Hello! This is cooking with Dave again; I’m the world’s greatest chef. My name is Dave said as, World’s Greatest Chef on my apron probably see it. And that was enough it’s okay.
Alright, I got some grease burn and here we don’t want to burn the grease and I have some Bacon grease along; here I’m going to put some onions in there. Today, we are cooking Mixed Beans, I put a couple of bell peppers cut up in there and I am going to put a big teaspoon of garlic in there. I’ve to make ingredients in here, I’ve just maple bacons and I’m (Inaudible) it down as it stays few degrees for my beans. I usually have flavor that I’ve been using olive oil, but people are complaining that olive oil and the chicken bakes really going to have the flavor maple bacon, which it doesn’t nothing add the flavor of maple bacon. Maple Bacon is wonderful of course it takes break, it’s not (Inaudible).
But like I was saying, flames that I cook, you really don’t want to eat them everyday, but once in a while if you treat this up with maple bacon. I have (Inaudible) new bacon quite sometime, so I’m doing. Now let those things just kind of caramelize in the Bacon Grease that it turn a little bit brown, good beans similar red peppers and then garlic and then that I take those mixed bean; this is a bag of mixed beans that I soaked all they want I sort of soaked this morning by 8 o’clock, I soaked it for about eight hours and now I made them in an hour. They cook pretty quick mixed bean got cooking in this pot about an hour maybe while 15 minutes, you know this sort of soft and nice and juicy and I’ll put them all in some brown rice and that’ll be wonderful (Inaudible) up. I like the bean with the rice.
If you don’t want to use making bacon you’ll have to -- you just you are using olive oil and that’s all you really need some (Inaudible) after this use some olive oil, want to use some butter. Well, use some vegetables, you know it’s up to as what you want to do as what you like with things is good, a little salt and pepper (Inaudible) a little salt and pepper of course you know we got (Inaudible) salt and pepper (Inaudible), use all the pepper for beans; now (Inaudible) just put beans in on the top of the onions in the bowl, and the pepper and then I’ll just put it on medium heat, bring to simmer and let it sim; about an hour not checking, see what’s going on with it, it start to turn on, the color is started to be little thicker and I don’t want my sauce be thicker and I’m just mashing being that (Inaudible) beans in the sauce, (Inaudible). We’ll come back and take a look at it quicker.
Okay here is our beans, we’ve been cooking the beans above, above at least an hour and a half little bit, I like so much water in them little bit, put some in water in them see that it bubble them in order a little bit. But they are tender, they are soft; I got green peppers going on there, onions and the garlic and make a bacon and we’ll put it into a bowl on top of some brown rice and call it dinner. I’ll show you how to do that next.
Okay, here we are with our beans; the beans, I put them on brown rice. Remember I had that maple bacon I had cooked down and use the grease in the beans before I start to cook. I took that same maple bacon that I cooked and I’ll put it right on top of my beans, it’s going for -- now tell me that doesn’t looking good we have bacon mixed beans and brown rice. Alright that was cooking mixed beans with Dave. I hope you enjoyed it, remember that I’m the world’s greatest chef, this is so right here on my hip.
