How to make a Calla lily
Materials
Petal:
One #8 and #6 ring from using #20 gauge white wire Yellow/Red multicolored nylon
Stamen:
Tissue
Yellow nylon
Making the petal
Because the Calla Lily petal is large, you want to use both #8 and a #6 ring together to create the petal form.
For convenience, you can tie the two strings together.
Wrap the gauge white wire around the #8 and #6 rings to make the petal form.
Keep the 3 cm of wire for the handle of the petal.
Stretch the nylon yellow/red nylon around wire.
Making the stamen
Using 30 cm long tissue folded 3 times.
Wrap around end of stem about 5 cm long, and shape so top is smaller than the bottom (pear shape).
Wrap with yellow nylon, with a total of 4 layers.
Finish stamen, tying off with nylon threading and adjusting shape as necessary.
Attach to stem.
Assembly
Wrap green tape around base of petal form.
Shape bottom part of petal around the stamen bulb.
