How to make Pens and a Pen Holder Look Like a Bunch Of Flowers

Hi girls! Today I am going to show you a little thing that I have always done since I was a demonstrator. This looks like a really pretty bunch of flowers but actually they are pens and I am going to show you how I did that. I take this to every workshop that I do and I just sit them on the center of the table and so many times, people have even thought that that was just a bouquet of flowers. They did not actually know that they were pens. So, what you do is you just go to your local dollar store that is where I get all my flowers and then you are going to get some of this floral tape. You can get there at the dollar store too and this is what it look like.

So, what you are going to do is you are just going to cut off a flower that you want. I want to use this white one here; you want it kind of long but not too long. You want it to be long enough where you can at least wrap it and this scissors are actually just an old pair of scissors that I have that usually cut through this really pretty good, so there you go. All right, so then you are going to take you flower, now I also have an RSVP pen but on my other pens that I have, I just use the Bic and you want a pen that does not actually click at the top, because it would be hard to do that when it is up here with the flower. So usually with the cap or something is good.

So what you are going to do is you are going to take your flower and you are just going to lay on top of your pen like that and you can also cut your greenery if you want to add to your flower. But for the sake of me showing you how I do this, I am just going to use the one flower but you are going to take you pen and your flower and you are going to take you flower, your floral tape. And you are just going to start wrapping towards the middle of your flower it just as seems as it is easier to hold it that way and just wrap it and I am wrapping in a downward motion because of the stem right here. I want to cover that up, so you are just going to wrap that around and then work your way up the pen, like that. until the stem is pretty much all covered and then you can make another pass going down if you want just to make it more stable and just keep wrapping it around. This tape does not look like it is very much but it does hold the flowers, like I said I have mine for over five years now, so it really does hold it.

And then I want you to get you flower wrapped on your pen and just go ahead and trim your tape off and that is pretty much it, so there you go. Pretty cute huh and then you can just write with it and it looks pretty. You can actually, probably spray it with some floral spray or--now like in the bottom of mine, I put just a bag of beans, let me show you. Just bag of beans, so the pens actually go down inside and then I also have some cinnamon sticks in there, this smells nice. You can put some potpourri or something in there but yes, there is my little weight one.
