Alright, how are you doing? I’m Dave. This is cooking with Dave again. I am the world’s greatest chef. I know that I am going to can sizzle right her on my apron. Anyway, I have to do it. Today, we’re going to cook little pizza. Manuel or Manny from Venezuela he said, “Hey, Dave how do you cook pizza? Can you cook pizza?” I have Manuel. I cook pizza. I love pizza.
It’s so easy to cook. It’s like going on Carlson like I did before in Carlson only in Carlson and roll it up with pizza and it’s pizza.—real quick. I like pizza. I eat a pizza a lot. Someone told me to get a pizza for lunch today and show Manuel, Manny I'm going to show Manny how to cook pizza and first thing all you have to do is always degrease the pan so that my dough will not stick to the pan just grease it, put some butter or whatever some water, spray or something usually the dough doesn’t stick.
Now, we take our dough, no big deal want to take a pizza craft about the store you see in your deli section or it was in your dairy section to your grocery store. I’m not sure about Venezuela you know, we’re Venezuelan we sell—. If you can’t buy an already pizza dough you can make doughs just flour and water dough. I’m sure you can look online and find instructions on how to make pizza doughs. I am not good in making this.
When you open it up, the puffs open I put it down wipe up my grease pans and then I’m just going to spread. Now, if I want it to be thick the thick crust pizza I can just leave it thick like it is, but what if it’s thin I like my little think then I’ll spray it out to make it a little thinner then it is who wants to eat their own pizzas? That’s okay as a dough and dough of course do you like that no man can get it around.
So, I’ll stretch it out there. I’m going to roll it alright, like that. Get to get this pizza over there. I was going to put back on the real dough. Dough, we’ll go back and you have to trust me, so I’ll just pound it all out like this on my pan from that I’ll give
A sprinkle off through our pan I’m going to pummel and show you how to make tomato sauce and everything together. Of all I’m going to use today is this some pizza sauce, a much of jar pizza sauce.
All you do is tomato juice you can just use tomato sauce as you like, you want too you buy some tomatoes and some chicken stack, some chicken broth just do it all of them, puree all the bad food in the food processor and make it a sauce and then put all your dough. Put your cheese on it, slide it to the oven. The oven is 400 degrees.
Okay, I will bring this over here and show you how to use. Alright, now our piece of dough will spread out evenly in our pan, middle will lift on the hips give us some little cross section of like that to keep our sauce you know, in the middle of everything. I just kind of pinch it off only here this all the way around, so let it move come together then take pizza is no big deal just pizza sauce you can use any kind of tomato sauce you want just put it on there. And you take spoon or something and just spread out.
This one is nice thin layer of sauce on our pizza. It doesn’t have to be a lot just a little just spread it around. Leave it up if because whenever we put the sauce our pizza is not going to turn brown, but finally leave a little brown in the edge there. Leave a little bit the old stick and that will melt a sauce on it and that will turn little brown. It gives us a little crust. We like to eat little crust. If you don’t want to eat crust just bring your tomato sauce all around the edges it will give you less of a crust, but I have to have a little crust and that’s wrong we have a little crust. We spread it out there like that.
Now, the best thing if I had to think about pizza is that you can put whatever you want in your pizza. I live in Italy for three years. I live in Naples, Italy and I saw pizzas you wouldn’t believe the way that the Italians will put whatever they want whatever they have. They’ll put it right onto a pizza hoping that it will be good and most times it is.
I saw a pizza one time they have an egg. They taken an egg and cracked it and put it right in the middle of the pizza. Sunny-side up mind you slip it straight into the oven and cook it with top on of hey one onion. They were strong out across the pizza and that was it. I find that without looking interesting you know.
Italians will put some craziest things on a pizza. So, it’s okay a pizza is about whatever you like that’s what my cook is always about mostly in Dave Cooking With Dave. What’s about it is whatever you like if you like it put it in there, and if you don’t like it you will find out, the next time you’ll know don’t put it in there no more it wasn’t good, but if you think it will be good it probably will be if you like it put it in there.
Now, I’m making a meat lovers pizza kind of thing I’m making some sausage. This is going to use some regular sweet country sausage just going to put on my tomato sauce, my spaghetti sauce and all around that just like that just spread it out. I like lots of it so I’m going to put lots of it because I like the sausage. What’s the trouble in the sausage and around the sauce for sausage and meat, alright. And then we’ll put pepperoni on it and I will put cheese on it. Slide it on the oven at 400 degrees for about I don’t know 15 minutes or until it starts to get and brown around the edges and then I’ll call the pizza.
So, put some sausage on it, okay. Then I’m going to put some pepperoni. A lot of people will put you know, peppers they’ll put onions. They’ll put anchovies whatever you like you can put it onto a pizza. If you like vegetables make yourself a vegetables pizza. Put some anchovies on it that’s fish. An anchovies are fish or put some peppers, some green peppers, some red peppers, some jalopenos. Men, whatever you’d like you can put it on a pizza.
The best thing about a pizza is topping. I like to have lots of meat on my pizza as you all know I’m about a meat lover’s pizza so I’m going to put pepperoni and sausage all over. I don’t want to bite into a piece of pizza that doesn’t have pepperoni and sausage a point I don’t know what I'm saying. I think I’m already missing my sausage over here on this side of them. So, I’m going to put a little more over on this side. Put some pepperoni more of half and half look at that.
Okay, I have a little sausage over it. I left some sausage over her so I’ll put some more and then put some more pepperoni. Pepperoni for everybody. If you don’t like pepperoni don’t put it on there, but if you like it there’s a pizza you put it on there from more of that.
Now, cheeses are no big deal. I’m just using this as a zest fancy pizza blend, bust different kinds of kind of cheese Mozzarella there’s some cheddar, that’s what it is Mozzarella and cheddar. I like Mozzarella I like cheddar so we’re now we’re just can sprinkle this all over my pizza here like so. Cover up everything with the cheese, laughing as you old so take the bit in there or it can be very good, very good. I love it.
I’m being little messy. You don’t need to be so messy. You probably get to need to use the whole bag of cheese but I like cheese, so I used the whole bag of it. Spread it out nice and even if you can get it. Try to hide your pepperoni and stuff of only for cheese like that.
Now, if you want too you come back and put stuff on top of this to you can put it right it in the cheese. Like I said that’s hanging up the heat broken egg right in the middle of this pizza, stuck them out and you cook it that way. I’ll see more of egg in around any wrong with that it’s pizza. It’s pizza packed whatever you want you put in the pizza.
Okay, I’ll put this in oven 400 degrees about 15 minutes and we’ll pull it out and see what it looks like. Okay, there you go. This is our finish product straight out of the oven ready to go. It looks wonderful it’s got sausage and pepperoni, cheese. It’s good pizza. I like pizza but she wants meatloaf.
Okay, men here is your pizza. We cooked it. It is wonderful. I cook for meat lovers pizza with pepperoni and sausage and cheese. I used mozzarella. I used cheddar. You can use whatever kind of cheese you like, whatever kind of meat you like, whatever kind of vegetables, if you like it put it in here. Those are made with sauce and let it go put it on the oven 400 degrees for about 15 minutes and I’ll tell you this is a nice lunch. I know you know what it is. Good idea men thank you for suggesting.
