Whoa...the solid colors should always land on the even numbers connectors.. IE - starting from 1 thru 8 (left to right) 1 - wht/ora 2 - ora/wht 3 - wht/grn 4 - blu/wht 5 - wht/blu 6 - grn/wht 7 - wht/brn 8 - brn/wht If you forget this scheme, look at any cat5/cat6 patch panel connectors.

Complety worthless video. You don't even know the order of the wires. Orange, White Orange, Blue, White Green and so on... In what planet do you live on? Do yourself a favor, don't waste your time triying to confuse people on how to make a CAT5 LAN Cable. And get a Life.

[Demo] Making A Cat 5 cable. Strip back the jacket. Separate the conductors. Place the conductor in the proper order. Orange, white orange, blue, white green, green, white blue, brown, white brown. Straighten conductors, keep them in order. Cut the conductors about ½ inch. Keep the conductors even. RJ 45 connector. Pins facing up. Orange on the left. Make sure you can see all the conductors through the tip of the RJ 45. Insert into the RJ 45 slot. The finished product. Fox in the box.
