Hi stampers!
Today I am going to show you how I made this enclosed box. I actually stamped the flowers with the One of a Kind Stamp Set and Chocolate Chip Ink. I added some doodle dots and I did both pieces. Once you removed the lead then you got your cards inside so I want to show you how I did that today.
We are going to start with the bottom piece first. Use two pieces of card stock and I am using chocolate chip and we are going to cut the bottom piece at 6 ½” x 10” and then on the 6 ½” side, you are going to score it at 1” and then do the other side at 1” also. Then on the 10” side, you are going to score it at 4 ½” and then flip that over and you are going to score the other side at 4 ½”. Then go ahead and fold all your score lines, cut these two squares out right here. And I just find that when I an putting my box together, when I remove this little tabs, the cards fit better inside so they do not get caught up on them when you are inserting them. ON the lead, you are going to do the same thing. Remove nth tabs so the tabs do not get caught up on the bottom part of your box. Then you are going to apply some sticky strip and I am going to put that right up on the edge and then on the opposite side, let us do the same thing. Put your boxes together so let us peel off the backing and of course you want to stamp your images before you actually put your box together. We are going to do both sides so just go ahead and peel both sides off. Pull it together, line it up with the other side, adhere that down, do the other side the same way. So then your cards will go inside the bottom part like this with your envelopes.
Now the top section of your box is cut at 6 ½” x 6 ¾”. Find this 6 ¾” side and score that at 1” on both sides. And then on the 6 ½” side, you are going to score your 1” side on your 6 ¾” side and then you are going to turn it and this should be the 6 ½” side and you are going to score that at 2 2/3”, flip that over and score that again at 2 ¾”. Fold all the score lines again, you can also use the slip punch and make a decorative edge on your box slit if you want. That would be cute. Then I am going to remove those tabs again, let me cut those out and do both of them. So then once you get that done, go ahead and stamp your images again and then you are going to apply your adhesive, your sticky strip again to the outside edge. Put the box together like we did in the bottom part. Line up the edge with that, adhere that down, line the other one up, and adhere that down. So then here is your bottom part and your top part. So there you go!
Let me show you the finished one again. This would be a cute gift! Thanks so much for stopping by and we will see you tomorrow! Bye!
