Hi stampers! Today we are going to make this little gift cardholder. I am actually just going to show you how to make the base of the holder itself and I will give you the measurements for all this little punches that I used, but I am using Bashful Blue for my base of my card holder. And then Frosty Day, designer paper, that is in the holiday menu right now. That is on the top of the bashful blue, which you probably can hardly see it, but anyway, so then I use the ½” stripe bashful blue GG ribbon and then the Holiday Lineup stamp set with the “Best Yet” Hostess level one stamp set.
So, let me show you how to make the base. Now, I used the Bashful Blue cardstock and you are going to score your bottom piece of your cardstock, which I guess if you put your cardstock in the long way or the short way. So let us take this is the cutter and you are going to score it 2 ¾” and then turn your cardstock and score it 5 ½”, okay? And then you are just going to fold all your score lines, making sure they all line up perfectly and then I go ahead and adhere some adhesives on the ends, but before I do that. I want to cut a V and what you want to do, there is no measurements or anything it is just kind of like eyeballing it but take your scissors and you are just going to cut a V on either side of your 5 ½” score line up to that 2 ¼”. And then take that out and then you are going to take some adhesive and apply it just to the edge, fold it up and then do the other side the same way.
Okay, so this makes your pockets for your cards and then to hold the gift card holder shut, I used the horizontal slot punch and this one I cut through two pieces of cardstocks. So what you want to do is I line my slot punch like I am kind of eyeballing it here where the pocket is and I just punch it right above that. So I just punch that first layer with that and then I closed it and get that lined up and then I go ahead and go in and lined that up and punch it again. And the net size is perfect for this ribbon for the (let me get the piece of ribbon here for this 1/23”, so let me show you) just slides right in there and then you just tie a bow, tight shut.
Okay, so now let us go back to the main gift cardholder here. Okay, so let me give you the measurements for this layer here with the snowmen. The Whisper White has cut it 3 ¾” x 1 ¾”. The Black cardstock is cut at 2 x 4 and the Bashful Blue is cut at 2 ¼” x 4 ¼” and then I used the Best Yet stamp set, the Hostess level one and stamped that in black with the Whisper White and then I used the small oval punch. The Black cardstock is punched out with the large oval punch and then this small little snowmen down here I used the 1” circle punch. The 1 ¼” circle punch and the 1 3/8” circle punch and then when you--oh, let me you this measurement over here, the Black cardstock is measured at 1” x 6” and then the Whisper White is using the scallop edge punch and that is also cut at say about 1 ½” x 6”. Then you are just going to use your scallop edge punch
And then, the Frosty Day designer paper, which is really pretty, you are going to cut that it, 5 ¼” x 6” and then that layer is on top of your holder and then when you open it, you can have, you know your cards and your envelopes inside. I can just get it open, okay, so this would be your cards and your envelopes and you can probably put four or five, however many you want to put in there but that is it.
And this card is just a really simple card to stamp it on Whisper White and the markers that I used was Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip and Black with dazzling diamonds glitter and a two way glue gun. So that is it, all right stampers, thanks for stopping by, we will see you later, bye!
