Hi stampers! Today I am going to show you to make this pop up card. It is very cute and it shuts, and you can just actually put it right into an envelope. Let me show you how to do that, so just a standard size envelope that we sell at stamp ‘em up and it slides right in here. Let me get this flower tuck in there—just like that. Pretty cute huh? Alright, so let’s get started. So cute!
Alright, so you are going to use Pixie Pink Card Stock and then you’re going to cut that at 4 ¼ “ x 11” and you are going to score at 1”, 2 ¾”, 3 ¾”, & 5 ½”. Then flip it over and score it 1”, 2 ¾”, 3 ¾”, & 5 ½”. So once you get it scored then we are going to go ahead and cut the slit part where the pop up comes up. You are going to line it up on your 5 ½” score line, now using my arm again, I am going to use the cm side. But I am going to cut a 4 ¼ slit.
So what I am going to do is I am going to start my cutter—this is the cutting tool right here. Then we are going to align this little spot right here up with the numbers on my ruler right here. These are inches and this side is the cm. So I am going to start my cutting blade at 1 ½ and I am going down to 9cm, or you can do it at—I guess that would be a half to 3 ½ on the inch side. Alright, so lets go ahead and cut that. I like to make a couple of passes to make it crisp, and then—so that is approximately 3 ¼” slit. So you are going to fold over all your score lines—I always use my bone folder.
Okay, so now this will be the time to go ahead and stamp. I stamp the little bees on the top with the black ink. And then after you are done stamping then we are going to add some sticky strip to the bottom edge of your 1” score line on both sides. So then you are going to take your insert, but you already stamp it, but the black is measured at 3” x 5 ½” and then the Whisper white is cut at 2 ¾” x 5”. And then you are going to insert that into your slot like that. And then we’re going to go ahead and peel off the sticky strip one side at a time. Okay, I got sticky strip stuck in my shirt. So I am just going to flip it over here and show you how to do this.
Okay, since this is cut at 5 ½ you are just going to bring it all the way down to the edge of your 1” score line making sure it’s straight like that. And then you are going to go ahead and peel off the other side pulling that over and then just going to fold it over and meet the other inch side. Can’t see there I am sorry, like that. So then that is what it looks like flat for mailing, and then you just pinch it closed and then it sets up really cute. And then I am going to ahead and decorate it. Always like to put the ribbon on when it’s flat because it seems like it goes through a lot easier, and I can tie it easier. Make sure that the ribbon is straight at the backside of it. Just pull that around to the front. So let’s tie our ribbon, I am using the black—green. Snip it off, then I am going to go ahead and add a dimensional to the front of my pop up card which is my “be happy.” And I am just going to position right there like that. So when it pops open, it will sit up really cute. Now, this is the finish one I added glitter to is, but isn’t that adorable.
Alright, thank you for stopping by and watching my video today. We’ll see you tomorrow, bye!
