Hi stampers! Today I am going to show you how I made this card and when you open it up it is got a little pop up inside. It is cute, so let us get started.
First you are going to use your Whisper white and that is cut 4 ½” x 11”, scored at 5 ½” and then I am using Ballet blue and that is cut at 3” x 4 ¼” and that you are going to score that at 1 ½”. I am also using some white tafetta ribbon and wire works from Stampin’ Up, that is retired. And then I am also using In The Stars stamp set. So I am going to go ahead and start with the Whisper white. I am going to stamp the Stars with bashful blue and Ballet blue. I am going to take the big star first. I am going to stamp that with Ballet blue right at the center of my card pretty much and I am going to take the little star and I am going to stamp that in a bashful blue.
[Demo]
Okay. Then I am going to use my saying in the stamp set “May all your dreams come true” in black.
[Demo]
Okay. Then for the top of my card, I am going to take my scissors and I am going to cut two slits next to each other.
[Demo]
So it should look like this in the front, and when you open up you are going to push that inside your card and fold it down. So this is what the outside looks like and this is what the inside looks like.
Okay. So I am going to take the Ballet blue and I am going to cover that cut up on that card.
[Demo]
Okay. And then I am going to take my White taffeta ribbon, put it at the top.
[Demo]
Okay. Now, I am going to work on the inside. I am going to take my big start, and we use Ballet blue. I am going to stamp the star twice.
[Demo]
And then I am going to stamp the little star in the bashful blue twice.
[Demo]
So go ahead and stamp the inside of my card.
[Demo]
Okay. All right. So I am going to use the star punches. I am going to use the large one for the bigger star, it makes it a lot easier than cutting it out that is for sure. And then the little start for the smaller one.
[Demo]
Okay. And then I take my 1/16-handheld punch and I am going to punch little tiny hole at the top of my star in one of them. And then I am going to take the wire works which is a 26 gauge wire, so it is really easy to be bent.
[Demo]
I am going to feed this through the hole that I made on the star and then on the ends, I am just going to just take a regular paper; you could use a pencil too but it might be a little bit bigger. But I am just going to wrap this around my paint brush and it is going to give me those serpentine and you just slide it out. I want to do the other side too.
[Demo]
Then I want to take my card, I want to feed this underneath my ribbon and then bring it down and then kind of give it a light twist so it kind of adheres together. And you can position the wire however you want it. So it is cute. Right now, the inside, I want to have and stamp the “May all your dreams come true” on Whisper white with the Ballet blue and layer it on Ballet blue cardstock, and then I am going take those other remaining three stars that I stamped and punched. I am just going to put some adhesive. This is the bottom, I am just going to put some adhesive on the very tip of the points. I am just going to adhere this to the front of my saying and I am going to do the same thing with the little star, just put one little that sit on one tip of the corner of the star; adhere that together.
[Demo]
Okay. So this is going to be the inside of my card and I want to take the dimensional and I am going to open up my card and I am going to put the dimensional right on that little pop up there.
[Demo]
And then I am going to set this inside my card right up against that dimensional there, so it adhere it down. Okay, there you go. And when you close it, it just lays flat. I do not know if you can see how it does that. Cute!
All right, thanks for stopping. I will see you tomorrow. Bye!
