How to make a Post It Note With Pen Holder

Today, I am going to show you how I made this post it note holder and it actually holds a pen. It is really cute. Now you just open it up and it got a post a note inside. I am using the stamp set called True Friend for this project. And I am also just using Whisper white, it is just simple and crisp clean, so let me show you how I did that. You are going to use your Whisper white and you are going to cut that at 7 3/8” x 3 ¾”, and then you are going to score it at 3 1/8”, 3 ½”, and 3 7/8”. And then after you do that, you are going to go ahead and stamp your image onto your Whisper white. I am using creamy caramel on this design here for my base of my post it note holder. I am just going to stamp it randomly all over the Whisper white. You can also stamp the inside if you want but I am not going to do that today. Okay, so then after you get your images on your Whisper white, go ahead and fold all your score lines. [Demo] Okay, so then after you get your folded score lines and you are going to fold the middle score line. That is the 3 ½” score line. You got to fold that in half. And then you are just going to take your scissors, and you are just going to cut two slits; no any particular size, just up to your score line. Okay now when you are putting your post it note together, you always got to remember the 3 1/8” side is going to be the front of your post it note. So this is going to be the front of mine, the 3 1/8” side. So we are going to go ahead and decorate our post it note holder. And I am using the creamy caramel cardstock with the poly twirled chocolate ribbon. And then I am just going to go ahead and adhere all my images together. This is on chocolate chip cardstock stamp in chocolate chip pink. When I had in use this image with the Really rust and the Chocolate chip, and I just colored in the image with my marker and then I stamp on it, these squares are actually cut at 1 3/2” x 2. “And then the Really rust is cut at 1 7/8” x 2 ¼”. [Demo] And then adhere this together. And then the front part, the Whisper white is cut at 2 ¼” x 7/8”, and then the Chocolate chip is cut at 1 1/8” x 2 5/16”. Then the creamy caramel is just cut at 3” x 1”. So I am going to go ahead and adhere my creamy caramel to the front of my post it note holder. [Demo] Okay, and then I am going to take it dimensional. I am going to adhere that; those other two images to the front of my post it note holder. [Demo] Okay. So there is the front of my post it note holder. And now I am going to take some sticky strip. I am going to cut two small pieces of sticky strip. You find the end here, here we go. Okay, now in the inside of your post it note holder, you are going to fold in your score line like that, okay. And you are going to apply your sticky strip to the inside of your score lines. Peel that back. [Demo] Okay, then you are going to fold that over and adhere that down. And then that is going to create the pocket for your pen. Let me show you. Then your pen will just slide in there like that. And then you can put your post it notes right inside there.
