Hi stampers! Today I want to show you how I did this ribbon flower. It is very cute. You learned it at convention! So I am going to show you how I did that.
So we are going to use the new one and one quarter inch pink pirouette ribbon. It is really nice. And then I am going to use some linen thread and a needle. Put some crystal effects and then I just want to go ahead and punch the pink pirouette cardstock out with the 1” circle punch and then the 1/8” in the center. This is just going to be for the center of my flower, I will finish that with you on the video. But what you are going to need is about 12” of ribbon so I am going to go ahead and cut that out so here this is and then you are going to go ahead and thread your needle. You could probably use regular sewing thread but I am using the linen thread. I will go ahead and thread that. I will tie a knot at the end. Believe me, I am not a sewer so if I can do this, you can do it. Trust me.
So I am just going to know this at the end and then we are going to do some little slip stitch along the all edge of the ribbon. So go ahead and just start and work your way down your ribbon getting as close as you can to the edge. So fit it on to your thread and pull it tight. So it is going to make that into a flower. Is it not that cute? Then I am just going to stitch these two right together at the very end. I am going to pull it tight because you want that to curve. I am just going to knot that up at end there. There is your flower, pull it tight and move it around. That center is going to be covered up anyway so le me trim that off. So then, I went ahead and punched out that center with a 1” circle punch and then the 1/8” from my crop-a-dile. I will punch the center off that then I am going to take my crystal effects and I am going to push this flat. I am just going to run a boarder of the crystal effects around the edge of my flower. It does not have to be perfect but we are going to add some chunky glitter to that because it really makes it adorable.
So once you get that done, and I got my powder pal here, I am going to get my chunky glitter out. We are going to use silver like we did at convention because it looks really cute with a pink. So then we are just going to take my flower, I will take my powder pal here. I am just going to dump that glitter on to that crystal effects. You want to make sure you are getting all the folds and everything of your petals of your flower. That is where the powder pal comes in a lot. It is really handy. So there is my flower!
So then for the center of my pink pirouette, I am going to add a little clear brad - I am just going to put that in the center of my circle punch and then I am going to put dimensional on the back side of that. You can actually use a pop up glue dot or the mini glue dot maybe but I am going to use a dimensional because I have it here. And then you are just going to center that over the hole.
So there it is! It is really cute huh! This is actually the box that we made at convention and we put the flower on the box. It is cute! All right, thanks for stopping and we will see you later, bye!
