How to make a Slider Candy Bar Holder

Today, I thought I would show you how to make this candy holder. Mine is holding a Hershey chocolate bar. It is really cute and really easy.

So what we are going to do is we are going to start with the regal rose card stock and that is cut at 6” x 6”. On one of your sides, you are going to score that ½” and then you are going to score that 3 ¼”. This is actually going to hold your candy bar. I went ahead and applied sticky strip on to the ½” side and then on the center bottom. Then I am going to go ahead and stamp it. I am using the regal rose and I am using this line up flowers from the Eastern Bloom Stamp Set, flip it over and do the top side, then I am going to go ahead and use my white gel pen to fill in the circles and the centers of the flowers. Then I went ahead and stamped the same stamp set. The Eastern Blooms with these stamped image in a regal rose. This whisper white is cut at 1 ¾” x 3 ¾” and then I used the basic gray as the layering piece which is cut at 2” x 4”. I also stamped Hi There from the Fundamental Phrases Stamp Set. I am also using the basic gray taffeta ribbon so I am going to go ahead and put some dimensional on the back of this too.

I want to take my crop-a-dile and I am going to use the 3/16” side for my hole punch. This is going to close up my holder and I am going to punch a hole right there at the center. I am going to seal up my holder, peeling off my sticky strip. I will line up the edge first before I will seal it out at the bottom and then pinch it at the bottom. I am going to take my crimper and feed it that way. So I am going to give it a couple of twist, put the handle right here so it looks like that. I am going to take my taffeta ribbon. Now, you are going to want to cut enough and you want it to at least be the length of your holder and then you can put that with a bow on the top. I am going to go ahead and feed that through the 3/16” hole punch that I punched with the crop-a-dile. I am going to take this candy bar so then you have your ribbon in there and you are going to take your candy bar and you are just going to push that down in there, bring this up to tie it in a bow. And that is it. You can trim your tails and that is it. And then your candy bar slides in and out off of your holder really cute.
