Hello! The purpose of this presentation is to show you how to make a video of your adventures in the world of Warcraft. Video software is quite expensive so I am going to show you how to do all of these without spending a dime.
You can do this on the PC and also the MAC. Right here we have some video footage of a toon running around the world of Warcraft. Imagine what you can do on a raid, and imagine what you can show your friends about your characters.
So let us begin. The first thing you will need to do is to download the video capture software of your choice and install it. For me, I use CamStudio. CamStudio is free software not share ware that can be used to record graphics that come up on your screen and turn it into a video format that you can upload to YouTube.
To download the software, point your browser to CamStudio.org. Download the appropriate files for your computer and follow the install instructions on the website. Again, that was CamStudio.org.
After you install the software double click on the CamStudio icon. This will run the program. After the program has run, this particular screen will come up. To start recording, left click on the red start button. Be aware that after you start recording, everything from that point on until you stop recording will be recorded into the video.
So after starting CamStudio, start up your world WarCraft session. Here you will see me double click on the WarCraft icon and go to a log on screen. This will take some time but it will come up.
After logging in, I will start my run through Azaroth. Here you will see me running around in newbie area and coming back. You should have a good idea of what you want to video capture beforehand. Have it planned out so you can have hard disk space ready and also the memory.
At the end here, I will finish what I wanted to video capture by leaving the world of WarCraft. After I leave WarCraft, I will hit the stop button on CamStudio. The stop button will be shown with a red arrow pointing to it. Immediately after stopping the video capture, your PC will begin processing the video. Be very patient here. It is a lot of data to digest and it can be very resource intensive.
When the video stops processing, you can save the file. To give it a name, just left click in the file name box. And then when you are finished, left click on the save button. This will save all the video data to your PC.
So when you are finished, now you can take a look at the video that you made. Just find the filename and double click on it. From there your video playing software on your PC should be able to play it. You can sit back and watch your character run around Azaroth. Here is a small clip for you.
