In this segment, I am going to show you how to make your own aromatherapy inhaler.
Here we have a propylene and use these inhalers for lots of reasons. Today we are going to make a respiratory inhaler that you can use for allergies, for colds, flu’s, sinus infection or congestion. They are very easy to use once you have made them and you just put it up to your nose and inhale.
Here is how you make it. The inhaler has four parts. It has this little cotton part. And that is where you soak the oil on. And then it has the cover and the main piece and then we have a little part here that we call the butt that goes in the end to keep it closed.
So for supplies, all you really need are the essential oils you want to add to the inhaler, the inhaler itself and then a little bucket here, a little cap and I use tweezers. So we are going to use about 15 drops of essential oil. We are going to do five drops of Eucalyptus, five drops of Balsam Fir, and five drops of Opopanax, great respiratory oil. So we are to put in about five drops of each into the little bowl and you want to go slow pouring these oils, you do not just want to turn them upside down because the oil can come out pretty fast. There we go five drops of the eucalyptus and then five drops of the Balsam Fir.
See how quickly that comes out and then we are going to add five drops of Opopanax. Opopanax is really sticky. Okay here it comes, one, two, three, four, and five. Okay, so we now got our 15 drops of essential oil and you can take the cotton part, put it right in the bowl and then just move it around and let up soak the essential oil. Okay, once it soaked up all these essential oil, you take the part of the inhaler that has the hole on the top and the bottom and then you just drop it in, like that. And then you take the butt and then you just press it hard on the bottom to keep it locked in and then you got your cover and you have your inhaler. It smells amazing.
Now it will clear your sinuses, it will clear your head and help you breathe better. It goes down to your lungs up into your head. And you can make these inhalers for all sorts of things. I love to make them for respiratory things like colds and flu’s. I also make them when we travel on airplane, as anti-bacterial, anti-viral inhaler or you can use them for sleep or headaches, a lots of applications.
