You know you want to have little things that you know few tips. You wan to have alcone sponges, I got to tell you that the best sponges are washable and reusable. Not for other people to reuse on but for yourself you can always wash these and these and I'm going to show you how to use them.
You want to have disposables for the lips, you want to have a priming moisturizer, a couple of glosses. I use to travel with my 50 glosses. We use the exact same colors like everybody. So I stop. Now I travel two lip colors and two eye pencils. Let’s face it. You can use the same ones like everybody. You use the brown and black for eyes. Okay you use like a—you know mine is called—what is mine called? Cosmo. Basically like a slice and like mahogany, the same kind of colors, those are the two you use on everybody. Okay and like a black eyebrow. That’s all you need. You don’t need 50 colors. Oh just in case.
No, just in case, there’s so many. As a makeup artist, you should be able to mix anything. From red you can use the caramel and for naturals you can use the Cosmo and everybody in between you can mix these, it’s totally fine. You just want to find one that’s clear.
You want an anti-shine. Okay if—to have shiny and you want to have one that’s more of a neutral color and one that’s tidbit. I’ll show you what the color is going to do. I know this is going to sound so funny but this, all my blush palettes are put away and my powders, this is it. This is my entire palettes. And I've been doing Today’s Show now for a year and a half and I could attest for myself—let me see if I could just really use all of these. And it would be enough. And guess what, it has turned out to be enough. And I—you know, because I was like—let me just see this look a little on every single guest and looks completely different. Oh, I have this. I have one eye powder, okay, one. And every time you use it, people like it, guess what, it’s easy. It’s six colors. Whenever you buy anybody’s products, feel the pigment. Okay these are actually—all these powders are double-pressed mineral, so you have all the benefits of the mineral without the mess. Mineral powders, now one single mask that is available to everywhere is big mess. It’s like a big—you know people think that grey did—I just used mineral on my face. Well you know on your face, it stays on the surface. So as you pick up the phone, it’s all over your phone. You know if you had any wrinkles at all, it actually becomes cakey, cakey, cakey and the colors turn so here and here becomes different.
These are all things that as artists, we—our responsibility to educate somebody. And most people are afraid of—I'm going to show you what creams do. Okay so I have one eye shadow palette, light, medium, dark. As makeup artists, we always have our big, huge palettes, right? And we always go like this—right? And what are we basically mixing? One, we’re mixing pink colors, peach colors and some bronzers. So you got a pink color, a peach color and a bronzer. So every consumer or every person you work on can feel like a makeup artist and you just—I’ll show you how you got this, very good for light skin presence. So basically anyone like you, myself, you—this one, and when you use it on something, a bride for instance and you put this on her, oh I love it. You do, I have it right here.
You know, but again, it’s that last minute purchase. You know it’s that when you're someone—always think about it when you're going out at a department store, in a supermarket, it’s that instant purchase like oh I love it. But these are great little gifts you can make for someone, I’ll show you how easy it is. No one has a—during like summer or like peach or a pink. What are you talking about? You mean to be what looks good on you. I'm not going to match my makeup to my clothing, okay. My makeup should be matched to me, what looks good on me. like certain colors, purple does not look good on my body. Everybody can have a little bit of pink, a little bit of peach, a little bit of bronzing, how bad is that going to be? For light skin, for medium skin and for dark skin.
Makeup should not be complicated. If it confuses the makeup artist, it’s going to confuse the consumer. And you have to think, you can always make money as a makeup artist, you're just doubling your income and doubling your necessity, because someone is going to call you because you could provide them with the extra—with just a service. You provide them with a service. And today we’re going to learn the intro method of eyelash application. If you can apply eyelashes, well ladies and gentlemen, people will come to you from all around—all around the area. And every single person on TV that I work on has big eyelashes. If you can do eyelashes well, every single bride will love you. and you can charge a very nice premium for applying fake eyelashes on people. Okay so if that’s the service you could provide as a makeup artist to a bride and she can look natural, she’ll going to love you.
