Millions of you will be heading away for a beach break this summer. But deciding when and where you are going is the easy part. The big decision is what you are going to pack and how you are going to pack it. Now any fool can just buy a massive suitcase and chuck everything in, including the kitchen sink. But with my job I spend mostly here leaving out in the suitcase. So, I am going to teach you how to pack smart. It might sound obvious but the first thing to remember is to be realistic about what you really need and that will depend on the weather at your destination, what you are planning to do on a holiday and most importantly how long you are going for flip flops are brilliant because they take up virtually no space in your case and you wear those on holidays. So you just put those down at the bottom. Sarongs are also very handy and very versatile, they don’t take up any space so we can wear them, just take them down to the beach to lay on instead of dragging a heavy towel along with you. Bikinis, take two, you would not need more than two believe me, just make sure you rinse them out every night and you have always got one dry. Now, sun dresses, this season we have got loads of gorgeous sun dresses in all the shops and they are really, really versatile because you can wear them in the day. Big sun hats, and those comfy pair of flip flops and you can party around all day in that. Or for the evening, put them with a nice glitzy pair of shoes, you know, with a bit of bling, put in a nice fancy jewelry and you got a completely different outfit. So what you want to do is make sure you take these stuff that doubles up. You are not just going to be able to wear it once and that goes with the shoes as well. You don’t need a different pair of shoes for every single outfit. A lot of people say rolling your clothes is the way to fold when it comes to packing. I have to say, it is rubbish because it doesn’t stop your clothes getting creased. Nothing is going to stop your clothes getting creased in your suitcase. And it also doesn’t take up any less space. I think folding is just as good but my tip is once you get there hang your clothes in the bathroom while you are having a shower and the steam will make all the creases drop out. Okay on the toilet things now. Obviously some protection, insect repellant are travel essentials but for all your basics, for your hair care and skin care, just take travel size bags, it is so much easier or sachets. Because once you have used them you can just throw them away but if you are anything like me, you want more than just the basics, you want to pamper yourself while you are on a holiday because you have got that bit more time and I have been developing a range of spa for us. A body therapy spa with – Now these are amazing products and they look gorgeous in your bathroom but that weighs a ton so that you don’t want in your suitcase which is why we have launched these. So you have got all these same products in a travel size. You can really pamper yourself while you are on a holiday and don’t feel like you are missing out. Makeup, all you need is literally that, a tint of moisturizer, water proof mascara, a clean blush up, a couple of lip glosses. You really don’t want to look like you have overdone it on the beach or in the evening when you are on holiday. So let us get all this all packed. Okay, we are almost there. Now, if you have got any electrical items with you, don’t forget to take your adopter and put those in the middle of your case with something on top of them just in case the baggage counters are a little bit rough. Shoes, put those down at the bottom. They won’t take up too much space and one of the best buys is something like this, big sun hats that you can squish, squash in your case. When it comes out of the other end it is still in perfect shape. So that is something really, really brilliant. A few accessories, because they will really make your outfit and it can transform your outfits as well. Camera, that is going in my hand luggage and of course don’t forget your passport and your money and then you are pretty much good to go. Weight that on your bathroom scales to make sure you don’t stung with a nasty excess baggage charges and have a very happy holiday. Bon Voyage.
