How to perform prep drills for basketball

These next drills are just four drills that require no equipments that you can just go out if you have a line on the field and you can just get started. It's all about quick feet with these. I do like to variate between two feet to one foot because most of the time you are going to be on one foot when you are playing a sport.

But we will start off with two and then move to one. So two feet forward and back. And then stop and then we will go to a single leg, same drill, just on one foot and stop. Now we are going to turn that to the side and do it laterally. And then we go to one foot, and rest.

With these drills the one thing you want to focus on is move as fast as you can but make sure that your feet are under your hips. If you start to reach outside now you are not going to be in good athletic position and the risk of injury is slim but it is there. So take your time and make sure you are going through fast and control.
