How to Play Cemetery Gates
Okay, so we are in to look at how to play Cemetery Gates by the infamous heavy metal band Pantera. First thing we are going to do is you are going to take index finger and you are going to bar all the 2nd fret across of all 6 strings.
Next thing you are going to do is your are going to take your ring finger, place on the 4th fret of the A string and pick this all out. Okay, then you are going to release play open A, take your index finger, place it on the 2nd fret of the D string, ring finger goes on the 4th fret of the G string and now you play this.
And then open E, and then all you do is you swing your index finger up to the 2nd fret on the B string. So it sounds like this. That's it. Next part is where it gets really heavy and cool, and it's a power chord on the 5th fret on a low E, 7th fret on A, when you strike that five times with the downward strike while your palm muting it as so. 1, 2, 3, 4,, 5 and then 7th fret, 6th fret, 5th, 8th fret with pinch harmonic, 7th fret, 8th fret, then 9th fret on the D string with a pinch harmonic, 7th fret, 8th fret, back to the power chords palm muting, 7th fret, 6th fret, 7th fret, 8th fret, 7th fret and 8th fret on the E, 6th fret on the A and then 7th fret on the low E with a pinch harmonic, that I think will work so.
Okay and then the course line is A, another power chord, how convenient. 2nd fret on the low E, 4th on fret on the A so that's F#, and we play this as you play the power chord and then strike just the 2nd fret on low E twice after that, and the next chord is follow sus in the sort of fashion too then you go to open, 2nd fret on the D, okay, so then 2nd fret on the A string, 4th fret on the D. This is now we have. And then it goes 3rd fret on the A string, 5th fret on the D string, poke on the 2nd fret on the A, first fret and the third fret.
