Sailor’s Hornpipe
(Music playing)
I played that really shitty but that is not the point, the point is this video is for the guy who asked me for the tab for Sailor’s Hornpipe but I do not have the tab and I cannot be bothered writing tab. I will slow this right down, so that you can watch my fingers, and I am not going to call it any notes but I will tell you where I am going to start and I am going to start in D.
(Demo)
On the G string that is the 7th fret up, D on the G string and I am going to start really slow. This is a good tune to get using your baby finger if you do not use it when you play bass it is helpful to use all your fingers and particularly for this song makes it quite a bit easier. You want instead of using those three. I mean, common you have four fingers and then got one there.
Anyways, okay its starts there, D.
(Demo)
Part two.
(Demo)
That is where underneath there.
(Demo)
It is in several spots where you might not be able to see what I am doing like in this part.
(Demo)
So it is.
(Demo)
It is all in the same string and then you hit this one under it.
(Demo)
Back in the D again.
(Demo)
So your baby finger is on there and you are hitting the string under it right afterwards.
(Demo)
Right there, kind of like.
(Demo)
That is another one you can learn, “Mexican Hat Dance”. Anyways, that’s it. Good luck! Bye.
