How to play a Double Bass Drum

My bass pedal is compatible for the second pedal to be added on to it. So what I’m doing now is I’m attaching the second remote pedal over here on the floor. I’m going to tighten it up using my drum key. I’m going to put the second beater on. Then I’m going to tighten it up with my drum key. And now, I have the ability to do fast strokes, constant fast strokes with two feet instead of having to tire up my one foot. [Demonstration] This is especially useful in hardcore, heavy metal and punk rock type music. Many jazz guys use it as well such as Dennis Chambers and Carter Beauford, but it’s generally a heavy metal style to go all out on the bass drum like that. [Demonstration] And that is the double bass pedal.
